--|EPO| COM: 9. jan 2010, 14:16 (CET)

Danish is NOT an official language of the Faeroe Islands. Faroese is the official language.
- Well, Faeroe Islands are not independant. Do you have any reliable source, that you can link to? --Masz 9. jan 2010, 16:13 (CET)
Faroese voted for independence in 1946, and had a majority for independence, but the king of denmark dissolved the Faroese Løgting. Faroese got Homerule in 1948. As of which Faroese became the official language of Faroe Islands. (Skrev Tjóðskaparskaldskapur (diskussion • bidrag) . Husk at signere dine indlæg.)
- Correct. But Danish is also being used in public affairs and must be teached by all schools. Danish is official as they still are a part of Denmark. You still have not provided a valid source for your statement. --|EPO| COM: 9. jan 2010, 16:20 (CET)
Well, easy for you to say. You don´t know what its like to struggle for a language for ones own language. (Skrev Tjóðskaparskaldskapur (diskussion • bidrag) . Husk at signere dine indlæg.)
- It is easy for me to say. It is the law. Have you read it? If you refuse to provide a source it can only be vandalism. --|EPO| COM: 9. jan 2010, 16:24 (CET)

I´m a Nationalist, I want Farose to be Independent, and it will be soon. Then the danish language will be banned, just like denmark did to us... (Skrev Tjóðskaparskaldskapur (diskussion • bidrag) . Husk at signere dine indlæg.)
- We can see that. But Wikipedia is for the factual current situation. You will now be banned completely. --|EPO| COM: 9. jan 2010, 16:48 (CET)
- Regarding the reference to the CIA World Factbook: the Language listing for each country tends to list what languages are spoken. For some countries it notes explicitly that one or more of them is official. Largoplazo (talk) 9. jan 2010, 17:22 (CET)

I hate it when that happens.. :P This reminds me of the language conflict that took place in the Faroes 1880-1938. Don't get me wrong, I have never had any intention of destroying nor corrupting any articles if that's the case. I, myself do not recognize the danish constitution, so it would only be normal and healthy for me to have faith in the Faroese constitution, as it corresponds to my country, as I see it, it is very futile to believe that another country's constitution and laws is over another country than ones own. And that's about it really. I have the feeling that you guys aren't very fond of me... Tjóðskaparskaldskapur 14. okt 2011, 15:25 (BST)
Besides, in regards to the official language and whatnot, I changed the official language bar thingy at the top, by removing the danish language, thus only showing Faroese as official and put the Faroese Constitution (Stjórnarskipanar Føroya) as footnote/link instead. And it stayed so from January 18 2013 to January 20 2014. -- Tjóðskaparskaldskapur 05-08-2015 04:20 (BST)
